Center Chairman attended SMU Industry Leaders Dialogue

October 23, 2019 - Mr. Joseph Chan, our Center Chairman, attended SMU Industry Leaders Dialogue. This Dialogue was organised by Singapore Management University at Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen, brought together more than 80 alumnus, academics and business elites of Singapore Management University.

 

The theme of this Dialogue was “Embracing the Artificial Intelligence-Driven Economy”. The Dialogue started with Faculty Conversation given by Associate Professor Pradeep Reddy Varakantham, Associate Professor of Information Systems & Coordinator of BSc (IS) Artificial Intelligence Track & Lee Kong China Fellow of SMU. 

 

The Conversation was followed by a Panel Discussion. Professor Gerard George, Dean of Lee Kong Chian School of Business & Lee Kong Chian Chair Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of SMU, was the moderator of the Panel Discussion. Mr. David Su, Founding Managing Partner of Matrix Partners China; Associate Professor Pradeep Reddy Varakantham, Associate Professor of Information Systems & Coordinator of BSc (IS) Artificial Intelligence Track & Lee Kong Chian Fellow of SMU; Dr Xu Liang, Deputy Chief Engineer of Ping An Group; Mr Allen Zhou, Senior Algorithm Engineer of Ant Financial shared their views on leveraging the expanding AI ecosystem to unlock unprecedented growth and discover opportunities in adjacent markets.
